1. Is it important for a language teacher to be ICT-competent?

YES! Under modern conditions the role of teacher was seriously transformed. The teacher was no longer a sole source of information for his students. Now he has to compete with other educational resources and Internet technologies in order to stay interesting for his students. I also think that the use of modern technologies in education creates favorable conditions and to meet the needs of modern society.
